- Format (2026 Candidate Guide, updated 08/04/2026): the ATDH has six sections and 240 multiple-choice items in total: Reading Comprehension (40 items, 50 min), Language Usage (40, 30 min), Quantitative Reasoning (40, 45 min), Perceptual Ability (60, 45 min), Biology (30, 30 min) and General Chemistry (30, 30 min). - Total appointment time is 4 hours 50 minutes (290 minutes) including a 15-minute tutorial, two optional 15-minute breaks and a 15-minute post-exam survey; candidates must arrive 30 minutes early. (source)
- 2026 examination fee: $150 USD, which includes score reporting to every program selected at application. Optional extras: $55 per additional score report, $105 score audit, $50 for a one-time 45-day eligibility extension; rescheduling costs $50 / $70 / $125 depending on notice. (source)
