Important: The driving theory test has two parts you must pass in a single sitting. The multiple-choice section requires 43 out of 50 correct answers (86%). The hazard perception test requires 44 out of 75 points across 14 video clips. The current theory test cost is £23 and your theory test certificate is valid for 2 years — you must pass your practical test within this period or retake the theory.

🔴 What does a circular sign with a red border mean?
A prohibition or restriction — something you must NOT do. For example, no entry, no overtaking, speed limit. Circular signs with blue backgrounds give positive instructions (mandatory).

1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, around its entire circumference. Driving with tyres below this is illegal — up to £2,500 fine and 3 penalty points PER tyre.

6 penalty points and a £200 fine. New drivers (within 2 years of passing) will have their licence REVOKED after 6 points and must retake both theory and practical tests.
