NOCE 2026

The National Opticianry Competency Exam 2026 is a written examination administered by the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners. It tests the knowledge of optics theory, lens fabrication, optical instrumentation and optical system design. Those who pass the exam are awarded COT certification.

The COT certificate demonstrates to the public, employers and peers that you are competent in your field. The certification is renewed every three years.

NOCE Programs
