95 x 7 = 665 gallons.
What is the average of 12, 18, 24, and 30?
Answer: 21
(12 + 18 + 24 + 30) / 4 = 84 / 4 = 21.
A team raised a 40-foot ladder in 8 seconds. What was the average rate in feet per second?
Answer: 5 ft/s
40 / 8 = 5 feet per second.
If a hydrant supplies 1,000 gallons per minute and two hoses each draw 350 gpm, how much flow remains available?
Answer: 300 gpm
1,000 - (350 + 350) = 300 gpm remaining.
