  1. A sphere has a radius of 3 cm. What is its volume? (Use π ≈ 3.14)

    Answer: 113.04 cm³

    Volume = (4/3)πr³ = (4/3)(3.14)(27) ≈ 113.04 cm³.

  2. Two similar triangles have a scale factor of 2. If a side of the smaller is 5 cm, what is the matching side of the larger?

    Answer: 10 cm

    Multiply by the scale factor: 5 × 2 = 10 cm.

  3. What is the measure of each interior angle of a regular hexagon?

    Answer: 120°

    Interior angle = (n−2) × 180° ÷ n = 4 × 180° ÷ 6 = 120°.

  4. A car travels at 60 miles per hour. How far does it go in 2.5 hours?

    Answer: 150 miles

    Distance = rate × time = 60 × 2.5 = 150 miles.

  5. What is the length of an arc that is 90° of a circle with radius 4 cm? (Use π ≈ 3.14)

    Answer: 6.28 cm

    A 90° arc is ¼ of the circumference: ¼ × 2 × 3.14 × 4 = 6.28 cm.

  6. Convert 90 minutes to hours.

    Answer: 1.5 hours

    There are 60 minutes in an hour, so 90 ÷ 60 = 1.5 hours.

  7. A rectangular floor measures 15 ft by 12 ft. How many square yards of carpet are needed? (9 ft² = 1 yd²)

    Answer: 20 yd²

    Area = 180 ft²; 180 ÷ 9 = 20 yd².
