  1. A clock shows 3:15. What is the angle between the hour and minute hands?

    Answer: 7.5°

At 3:15, the minute hand is at 90° (pointing at 3). The hour hand has moved 7.5° past the 3 o'clock position (15 min × 0.5°/min).

  2. In a certain code, FISH is written as EHRG. How will DUCK be written?

    Answer: CTBJ

    Each letter is shifted by -1: F→E, I→H, S→R, H→G. So D→C, U→T, C→B, K→J = CTBJ.

  3. If 'A' is the brother of 'B', 'B' is the sister of 'C', and 'C' is the father of 'D', how is 'A' related to 'D'?

    Answer: Uncle

    B is C's sister, so B and C are siblings. A is B's brother, making A also C's sibling. C is D's father. So A is D's uncle.

  4. Complete the pattern: AZ, BY, CX, DW, ?

    Answer: EV

First letter goes forward (A,B,C,D,E) and second letter goes backward (Z,Y,X,W,V). Next is EV.

    Answer: P, R, T, U, S, Q

    From the clues: P is ahead of R, R is ahead of T, T is ahead of U, U is ahead of S, S is ahead of Q. Order: P, R, T, U, S, Q.
