    Answer: 25%

    Percent increase = (15000 − 12000)/12000 × 100 = 3000/12000 × 100 = 25%.

  2. The average of 5 test scores is 82. What is the sum of all 5 scores?

    Answer: 410

    Sum = average × number of values = 82 × 5 = 410.

  3. A bar chart shows sales of 50, 70, 60, and 80 units over 4 months. What is the mean?

    Answer: 65

    Mean = (50 + 70 + 60 + 80)/4 = 260/4 = 65.

  4. A car travels 240 miles in 4 hours. What is its average speed?

    Answer: 60 mph

    Speed = distance/time = 240/4 = 60 mph.

  5. A dataset is: 3, 7, 7, 9, 12. What is the median?

    Answer: 7

    The dataset is already ordered; the middle value (3rd of 5) is 7.

  6. If 8 workers can complete a job in 6 days, how many days would 12 workers take?

    Answer: 4

    Total work = 8 × 6 = 48 worker-days; 48 ÷ 12 = 4 days.
