  1. A table shows branch-wise NPAs: A=₹45L, B=₹30L, C=₹60L, D=₹25L, E=₹40L. If each branch's NPA reduces by 20%, what will be the total NPA?

    Answer: ₹160 lakh

    Total original NPA = 45+30+60+25+40 = 200L; After 20% reduction = 200×0.80 = ₹160 lakh.

  2. A scatter plot shows assets (₹'000 crore) vs ROA (%): (10,1.8), (20,1.5), (30,1.2), (40,0.9). If assets are ₹50,000 crore, what ROA does the linear trend suggest?

    Answer: 0.6%

    ROA decreases by 0.3% for every 10-unit rise in assets; at 50 the trend gives 1.8−(4×0.3) = 0.6%.

  3. A bank's loan book: Secured=70%, Unsecured=30% of ₹6000 crore. If secured loans grow by 10% and unsecured by 5%, what is the new total loan book?

    Answer: ₹6510 crore

    Secured=4200×1.10=4620; Unsecured=1800×1.05=1890; Total=4620+1890=₹6510 crore.

  4. A histogram shows daily transaction volumes (thousands): 0-50=15 days, 50-100=8 days, 100-150=5 days, 150-200=2 days. What fraction of days had transaction volume below 100 thousand?

    Answer: 23/30

    Days below 100K = 15+8 = 23; Total days = 15+8+5+2 = 30; Fraction = 23/30.

  5. A table shows bank employee data: Officers=1200, Clerks=2400, Sub-staff=600. If the ratio of Officers to Clerks must be maintained and 300 more Clerks are hired, how many more Officers must be hired?

    Answer: 150

    Original ratio Officers:Clerks = 1200:2400 = 1:2; For 300 more Clerks, Officers needed = 300/2 = 150.

  6. A pie chart shows regional branch distribution: North=30%, South=25%, East=20%, West=15%, Central=10%. Total branches = 2400. How many more branches are in the North than in Central?

    Answer: 480

    North = 30%×2400 = 720; Central = 10%×2400 = 240; Difference = 720−240 = 480.

  7. A bank's quarterly EPS (₹): Q1=12, Q2=15, Q3=18, Q4=21. If this arithmetic progression continues, what will be the EPS in Q2 of the following year (6th term)?

    Answer: ₹27

    Common difference = 3; 6th term = 12 + (6−1)×3 = 12+15 = ₹27.
