Each term doubles the previous one; 48 × 2 = 96.
If x + y = 20 and x − y = 4, what is the value of x?
Answer: 12

Three workers can complete a job in 12 days. How many days would 4 workers take to complete the same job?
Answer: 9

A bag contains 3 red, 4 blue, and 5 green marbles. What is the probability of picking a blue marble?
Answer: 1/3
Total marbles = 3 + 4 + 5 = 12; probability of blue = 4/12 = 1/3.
A rectangle has length 15 cm and width 8 cm. What is the length of its diagonal?
Answer: 17 cm
Using Pythagoras: diagonal = √(15² + 8²) = √(225 + 64) = √289 = 17 cm.

Answer: 10
