  1. A cylinder has a radius of 4 cm and a height of 10 cm. Using π ≈ 3.14, what is its volume?

    Answer: 502.4 cm³

    V = πr²h = 3.14 × 4² × 10 = 3.14 × 16 × 10 = 502.4 cm³.

  2. On a coordinate plane, what is the distance between points (1, 2) and (5, 5)?

    Answer: 5 units

    Distance = √[(5−1)² + (5−2)²] = √[16 + 9] = √25 = 5 units.

  3. Angles A and B are supplementary. If angle A = 115°, what is angle B?

    Answer: 65°

    Supplementary angles sum to 180°. Angle B = 180° − 115° = 65°.

  4. A scale drawing of a room uses a scale of 1 inch = 4 feet. If the room appears 6.5 inches long in the drawing, what is the actual length?

    Answer: 26 ft

    Actual length = drawing length × scale factor = 6.5 inches × 4 ft/inch = 26 feet.

  5. What is the surface area of a cube with side length 5 cm?

    Answer: 150 cm²

    A cube has 6 equal square faces. SA = 6 × s² = 6 × 5² = 6 × 25 = 150 cm².

  6. Line segment AB is parallel to line segment CD. A transversal crosses both. If the angle at A (alternate interior angle) is 68°, what is the corresponding angle at C?

    Answer: 68°

    When parallel lines are cut by a transversal, corresponding angles are equal. The corresponding angle at C is also 68°.
