Finally passed Safety and Compliance after failing twice — here's what worked
Okay so I've been lurking here for a while and finally feel like I have something worth sharing. I failed this exam twice before passing last month — first time wasn't even close (got a 61, needed a 75), second time I missed by three points which honestly hurt more. The third attempt I came in with a completely different strategy and cleared it with an 82.
What changed: I stopped trying to memorize everything and started actually understanding the WHY behind regulatory frameworks. I also leaned hard on practice testing, specifically the Safety and Compliance Core Concepts & Fundamentals section which helped me identify exactly where my knowledge gaps were. Turns out I was weak on hazard identification methodology — something I never would've caught just reading my study guide cover to cover.
I spent about 6 weeks total studying, roughly 45 minutes a day on weekdays. Anyone else struggling with the compliance audit portion? That section felt way more nuanced than the prep materials suggested and I'd love to compare notes before my colleague sits for it next month.
