Finally passing the PSYCHIC exam after two failed attempts — what worked

So I just got my results back and I passed on my third try, and honestly I'm still a little shocked. I failed twice before — once by four points, which was brutal — and I almost gave up entirely. What finally made the difference was actually slowing down and using a structured PSYCHIC practice test routine instead of just rereading my notes over and over. I was putting in maybe 2 hours a day for six weeks leading up to this attempt.

The areas that tripped me up most were the perception and intuitive reasoning sections. I kept second-guessing myself on those. A friend pointed me toward a solid study guide that broke down the cognitive framework behind each question type, and that was genuinely a turning point. Once I understood the logic, the answer choices stopped feeling like traps.

Curious if anyone else struggled with the timing component? I had 78 questions in 90 minutes and the clock anxiety was real. Would love to hear what exam tips helped others stay focused and not spiral when a question felt ambiguous.

Congrats on passing! Third attempt here too, so I completely get that relief. Timing was my nemesis as well. What helped me was doing full timed practice sets starting three weeks out — not just topic drills. Once my brain got used to the pace, the real exam felt almost normal. Also flagging and skipping questions I wasn't sure about was huge. Coming back with fresh eyes on those saved me probably five or six points.

The perception section is notoriously tricky because the answer choices are designed to look almost identical. I actually made flashcards for the key distinctions and reviewed them every morning for two weeks. Also worth noting — the study guide I used had a whole chapter on managing ambiguous prompts, which is different from just knowing the content. Are you allowed to share which resource you used? Always looking for recommendations from people who actually passed.

Huge congrats! Clock anxiety is so real on this one. I set a personal rule: no more than 75 seconds per question on the first pass. Keeps you moving without totally abandoning hard questions. Worked well for me.
