What CMT score do you need to pass? Breaking down the numbers

Honestly, I almost bailed on the CMT entirely around month three of studying. My practice scores were hovering in the low 70s and I kept telling myself 75% felt impossible. What nobody tells you is that those early scores don't really mean much -- you're still figuring out how the questions are worded, and the CMT has its own weird logic once you get used to it.

I passed with an 82% on the real exam after averaging about 79% on my last round of practice tests. So if you're sitting there thinking your scores aren't good enough, they might be closer than you think. Don't quit when you're that close. It's brutal but it's doable.

Failed my first attempt by two points, which honestly still stings. I was consistently hitting 74-76% on practice tests and thought that was close enough, but I wasn't accounting for how the real exam weights certain sections differently. What changed for me the second time was drilling specifically on procedures until I was bored of them.
