A stacked bar graph shows the number of male and female employees in three departments. The HR bar is 60 units tall: the male segment is 25 units. How many female employees are in HR?
Answer: 35
Female employees = total bar height − male segment = 60 − 25 = 35.
A data set has the values: 10, 15, 15, 20, 100. Which measure of central tendency is most affected by the outlier 100?
Answer: Mean

Answer: 7
Arranging in order: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 — the middle value (median) is 7.
A scatter plot has no clear pattern — the points are scattered randomly in all directions. What does this suggest about the two variables?
Answer: Little or no correlation
When points show no discernible trend, there is little or no correlation between the two variables.
A frequency table shows test score ranges and the number of students in each range. The range 80–89 has a frequency of 12 out of 40 total students. What percentage of students scored in the 80–89 range?
Answer: 30%
12 ÷ 40 = 0.30 = 30%.
