A triangular pyramid has a base area of 30 cm² and height 8 cm. What is its volume?
Answer: 80 cm³
V = ⅓ × base area × height = ⅓ × 30 × 8 = 80 cm³.
A rectangle has perimeter 40 cm and width 8 cm. What is its area?
Answer: 96 cm²
2(l + 8) = 40 → l = 12 cm; Area = 12 × 8 = 96 cm².
A circle has circumference 16π cm. What is its area?
Answer: 64π cm²
C = 2πr = 16π → r = 8; Area = π(8²) = 64π cm².
Two cubes have side lengths 3 cm and 6 cm. What is the ratio of their volumes?
Answer: 1:8
Volumes: 27 cm³ and 216 cm³; ratio = 27:216 = 1:8.
A cylinder has radius r and height 2r. Which expression gives its volume?
Answer: 2πr³
V = πr²(2r) = 2πr³.
A garden is shaped like a right triangle with legs 24 m and 10 m. What is the area?
Answer: 120 m²
Area = ½ × 24 × 10 = 120 m².
A sphere has volume (500/3)π cm³. What is the radius?
Answer: 5 cm
(4/3)πr³ = (500/3)π → 4r³ = 500 → r³ = 125 → r = 5 cm.
