A cone has radius 3 cm and height 8 cm. What is its volume in terms of π?
Answer: 24π cm³
V = ⅓πr²h = ⅓ × π × 9 × 8 = 24π cm³.
A sphere has radius 3. What is its volume in terms of π?
Answer: 36π
V = (4/3)πr³ = (4/3)π(27) = 36π.
A triangle has base 15 ft and area 60 ft². What is the height?
Answer: 8 ft
A = ½bh → 60 = ½ × 15 × h → h = 120/15 = 8 ft.
A rectangular room is 12 ft long and 10 ft wide. What area of carpet covers the floor?
Answer: 120 ft²
Area = 12 × 10 = 120 ft².
A circle has area 49π. What is its radius?
Answer: 7
πr² = 49π → r² = 49 → r = 7.
A cube has side length 4 cm. What is its surface area?
Answer: 96 cm²
Surface area = 6s² = 6 × 16 = 96 cm².
A cylinder has volume 200π cm³ and radius 5 cm. What is its height?
Answer: 8 cm
V = πr²h → 200π = π × 25 × h → h = 200/25 = 8 cm.
