Anyone else studying for TMC in the next month? Want to study together
Taking my TMC - Tourism Management Certificate exam in 6 weeks and trying to find people at a similar stage to keep each other accountable.
I study better when I have someone to compare notes with. Currently going through "TMC" and working on my weak areas — specifically around TMC exam.
My schedule: 90 min of focused study every weekday, full practice test on weekends. I review every wrong answer and try to understand the why, not just memorize the right option.
If you're in a similar prep window and want to:
- Compare practice test scores weekly
- Share resources that actually helped
- Talk through confusing questions
Reply here or message me. Doesn't have to be formal — even just checking in once a week helps me stay on track.
Where is everyone at in their prep?
The free tmc tourism economics helped me understand what the exam actually tests rather than just what the material covers.
I actually failed the first time by a few points. Total gut punch. But passed on the second attempt with a comfortable margin.
What changed: I stopped trying to memorize answers and started actually understanding the material. Specifically on TMC exam — I went back to basics and worked forward from first principles.
Also switched from reading to doing. Less time with the textbook, more time on practice questions with detailed answer explanations.
You've got this. The second attempt is always better because you know exactly what the exam is like.
Went through this exact question when I was prepping. The TMC material on "TMC" is actually not as bad as it looks — once it clicks it clicks.
What helped me was finding one resource that explained it from first principles instead of just giving me the "right answer." Made a huge difference on the scenario-based questions.
Also: don't underestimate the importance of reviewing your wrong answers more than your right ones. I learned more from 20 wrong answers than 200 correct ones.
Quick update: just cleared 91% on my most recent TMC practice set using free tmc tourism economics. Sitting for the real thing in 4 weeks. Feeling cautiously optimistic.
Quick update: just cleared 85% on my most recent TMC practice set using free tmc tourism economics. Sitting for the real thing in 2 weeks. Feeling cautiously optimistic.
Honestly I almost didn't make it past the first two weeks of studying. I kept blanking on the communication stuff and it felt like no matter how many times I reviewed it, nothing was sticking. What helped me was drilling down on specific topic areas instead of trying to do everything at once — I found some free tmc interpersonal communication questions online and just hammered those until I felt confident. That was kind of the turning point for me.
Six weeks is actually solid time if you're consistent. I wasn't, and I still passed, so you're probably in better shape than you think. Don't give up if you hit a wall around week three — that's when it feels the hardest but you're usually closer than it seems. Good luck, and feel free to compare notes if you want.
This is exactly how I've been approaching it too. Going through wrong answers was a game-changer for me honestly — I stopped just moving on after getting something right and started asking myself why the other three options were wrong. Especially for the free tmc interpersonal communication stuff, which tripped me up way more than I expected.
Happy to study together. I'm about 5 weeks out so we're pretty much on the same timeline. What topics are you hitting hardest right now?
