CBET — The CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) exam is administered by the Biomedical Certification Institute (BCI), an affiliate of AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation). The real exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions administered over 3.5 hours (210 minutes), covering five content domains: Anatomy/Physiology/Pathophysiology, Patient Safety, Electricity and Electronics, Medical Equipment, and Healthcare Technology Management. Passing is determined by a scaled score, generally equivalent to approximately 70% correct.
